Who is Marcos?
Marcos Cajina is founder and president of Renewal® an international network provider of customized leadership development services. As a trainer and cutting-edge Facilitator, he uses a variety of active and experiential methods to help executives improve their leadership performance and capability through the application of human science.
Marcos is the seven-time recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award at the IE-Business School. Marcos is a core member of the Center for Creative Leadership/Wharton team that earned the prestigious Excellence in Practice Award by the European Foundation for Management Development. Former Learning Director Spain of the Wharton Business School Aresty Executive Education, University Pennsylvania.
Since 2001, he has worked with executives, senior managers and multidisciplinary teams in 26 countries across four continents and 13 industries.
Marcos has helped hundreds of executives and teams improve results in companies such as ABN Amro Bank, Acciona, Amadeus, Alsa, Avon, Boston Consulting Group, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Clear Channel, Disney, Goodyear, Google, Grupo Prisa GlaxoSmithKline, ING-Direct, Kellogg, Monsanto, Roche, Mazda, NH-Hotels Group, Aptar, Chep, Adidas, etc.
Parallel to this work, Marcos is currently Senior Faculty at The Center for Creative Leadership EMEA in its flagship Leadership at the Peak program and customized programs for world leading corporations. Currently, he is Visiting Professor in Coaching, and lecturer in the International MBA at the IE-Business School. Also, has served at Wharton Executive Education (USA), Ashridge Business School (UK), and Skolkova Business School (Russia). He has been a key member of the IDDI-Notre Dame University joint programme, and is a member of the IE-Business School-Brown University EMBA programme.
Before founding Renewal®, Marcos had a 14-year international career in leadership development at the Ford Motor Company, where he served as the youngest Iberian Region HR Ford Group Manager. He also led successfully the Leadership Excellence European Programme and was Manager Organizational Personal Planning Marketing Sales & Programmes Europe at the Ford European Headquarters in the UK from where he led the European Talent Recruitment Initiative.
His workshop on Self-Compassion in Business was awarded the best workshop at the Spirituality and Creativity Management World Congress in 2015 at ESADE Business School, Barcelona, Spain. His articles have been published in the Huffington Post, Stanford School of Medicine and in major business journals. In 2015, he addressed the Commencement Speech at IE B-School. He has lectured for professional and trade associations and has been a featured speaker on TV2 Spain, and “TV Canal Nacional de Chile” on coaching and leadership.
He is the only Certified Professional Facilitator in Spain by the International Association of Facilitators (USA) and is a Board Certified Coach by the Center for Credentialing and Education in the USA.
Committed to lifelong learning, Marcos is Doctor in Transformational Leadership (Hons) and earned an MBA (Hons.) at IE B-School and a Diploma on Strategic Leadership at The London B-School. He also holds an MSc. Human Resources Strategic Mgmt.
